Product Care & FAQs

Why?
…does my vacuum seal not work effectively?
…is there moisture on the underside of the cover?
These may be the possible reasons:
1. Container is too small - Insufficient space for a proper seal.
2. Damaged seal - Check for cracks or dirt on the sealing edge.
3. Improper sealing technique - Ensure the lid is aligned correctly.
Moisture inside the cover of a vacuum-sealed container can be due to:
1. Humidity in the food - Moist foods release moisture during sealing.
2. Improper drying - The container or food wasn't dry before sealing.
3. Temperature changes - Condensation forms if the container cools rapidly.
4. Seal leak - A poor seal may allow air and moisture to enter.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
…does the beige paint layer peel or crack?
…will mould develop on the silicone seal or lid of the cover?
1. Can the beige paint layer on the stainless steel prep bowls chip or peel?
Yes, the beige paint can chip or peel with wear and tear, especially if the bowls are washed frequently in the dishwasher or exposed to excessive heat. While the bowls are dishwasher safe, we recommend gentle hand washing to preserve the paint layer and keep them looking fresh.
2. How should I clean and care for the beige paint layer on the bowls?
Hand wash with mild detergent and a soft sponge to protect the paint. Avoid abrasive scourers and harsh chemicals that could damage the coating. Allow the bowls to air dry or gently dry with a soft cloth.
3. Sometimes I notice my silicone seal loosening or getting dirty. How should I clean it?
Remove the silicone seal carefully and wash it separately in warm, soapy water. Make sure it’s completely dry before replacing it to maintain a strong airtight vacuum and prevent mould.
4. Why must I dry the lids thoroughly after washing?
Moisture trapped in the silicone seal can cause mould or mildew over time. Always dry the lids and seals thoroughly—either air dry or wipe with a cloth—before sealing your containers.
5. Can I put the bowls or containers in the dishwasher?
The bowls are dishwasher safe, but frequent dishwasher use may cause the paint layer to peel over time. For longer-lasting colour, hand washing is recommended. Stainless steel containers without paint are dishwasher-safe. Vacuum lids should always be hand washed to protect seals and mechanisms.
6. What if the paint chips or peels—will it affect food safety or bowl performance?
No, peeling paint won’t affect the stainless steel beneath or the bowl’s function. However, to keep your bowls looking their best, handle with care and follow the washing advice.
7. How do I keep my stainless steel bowls and containers looking shiny and fresh?
Wash promptly after use, avoid abrasive cleaners, and dry thoroughly to prevent water spots. For bowls, avoid scrubbing roughly to protect the paint layer.
8. Is it safe to store acidic foods like tomato sauce or lemon juice in these containers?
Yes! Stainless steel is non-reactive, so acidic foods won’t cause corrosion or any metallic taste.
9. What should I do if my vacuum seal lid develops odours?
Remove the silicone seal and soak both seal and lid in warm water with a little baking soda or white vinegar to neutralise odours. Rinse well and dry completely before reassembling.
